Last year, the University of Ottawa women's basketball Gee-Gees were surprise Ontario University Athletics East division champions, then got clocked in the Wilson Cup by the OUA West champ Windsor Lancers and were quickly dispatched in the opening round of the Canadian Interuniversity Sports championships.
