If another mass exodus of players is in the offing, then Iowa needs a new men’s basketball coach. You can’t keep starting over, year after year. Not now. Not while the rest of the Big Ten uses you as a footstool. Not when a little school up the road on I-380 is stealing all the headlines from December to March.

The head coach isn't certain he still has a job, although he probably has a good idea what's coming. The players on Iowa's basketball team are leaving for spring break, not sure of who their coach is going to be when they come back.

Michigan is 15-16 overall after winning for the third time against Iowa this season. It's also the third straight year the Wolverines have beaten the Hawkeyes in the first round of the Big Ten tournament.
